If he's by himself then go anyway. I can take or leave most of his solo albums. Have seen him do his "solo" stuff with a band a couple of times and it didn't work on either occasion. But by himself he's just magnificent whether you like the solo stuff much or not. Have seen AMC live three times - pre and post-spilt and, while good, they don't hold a candle to Eitzel on form with only a guitar (or even without - once I saw him stop Dingwalls dead singing not just without guitar, but without PA for one song) |

Ah mate you've got my arse tempted now... right, I'll see how much the weekend has taken its toll on Sunday (if the bastard ain't sold out) and then I'll decide... (I've seen Mark Kozelek do the same pal... plain vocals guitarless with no PA... ripped me in half so it did...) |
