Mozzer's stupid remarks, repeated in NME, certainly seem to suggest that he's inciting people to violence. He's always seemed to have a weird fetish for violence and young, violent men while being too scared to get near them so presumably he's indulging his fantasies. I hope anyone who's bought a ticket to see him will eat an extra guinea pig burger in protest. This was in the Sunday Times: MORRISSEY, the pop singer and outspoken vegan, has been branded irresponsible for publicly backing violent attacks by extremists against scientists and companies involved in medical research using animals. The former frontman of the 1980s group the Smiths said he believed terror tactics were justified against those who conducted animal experiments because they had brought it on themselves. Morrissey also singled out proudly carnivorous television chefs Jamie Oliver and Clarissa Dickson Wright as enemies of the animal rights movement. His comments, however, prompted criticism from organisations attacked by animal activists, and politicians who warned that any such potential incitement should be investigated by the police. The singer, whose old band is a favourite of Old Etonian Bum Gravy Dripping Tory Twat, the Tory leader, made his remarks in an interview with an online fanzine called True to You. He said: “I support the efforts of the Animal Rights Militia (ARM) in England and I understand why fur farmers and so-called laboratory scientists are repaid with violence — it is because they deal in violence themselves and it’s the only language they understand — the same principles that apply to war.” Morrissey said he approved of such tactics because “you reach a point where you cannot reason with people” who carry out animal experiments. “They (the ARM) are usually very intelligent people who are forced to act because the law is shameful or amoral.” He added: “With people in the world such as Jamie Oliver and Clarissa Dickson Wright there isn’t much hope for animals.” Any views? |

he should be subjected to punishment in the form of violence by enraged infected chimpanzees and then refused any medical help that resulted from the research on animals. a bit like those poor cuddly-wuddly ikkle chimps that bit that guy's face, fingers and cock off last year. remember that? mind you he did dress them up in dresses and make them drink tea so i'm actually backing bubbles all the way on that one. |

You guys are bashing someone for standing up for what he believes in ?? I'm with him 110%.. Animal experiment is a sham and people who perpetrate it get what they deserve ... If his comments get someone to become politically active on this front then that’s a good thing … why aren’t more doing it? Someone is saying something important .. whether you agree with what he is saying (which you should in this instance) is beside the point, you should respect his right to say it and – more importantly – get people talking about it. Message to all you fucking prosaic, braindead indie kids: Sometimes there’s a more important message to deliver than “I bet you look good on the dancefloor”. Welcome to the real world |
