You can always trust the MU to be out of touch with a) how the music industry works and b) how the public prefers to consume its pop product.

it does seem a little naive. doesn't mean they can't try to change things though does it?

i love the "i'm too busy to actually sing" excuse though. i'm going to start using it on the toilet circuit. people won't mind.

"look i had rehearsal till midnight last night, had to get up at 7, go to work for 8 hours, miss my lunch break, run home, grab my stuff, carry it down 4 flights of stairs, get a cab go to soundcheck, carry it up 2 flights of stairs set up, soundcheck, grab some food and be back at the venue to hand out flyers and get changed... AND NOW YOU WANT ME TO SING?! ARE YOU NUTS?! i've got to take all this stuff home later, get up at 7... etc"
