Anyone else catch it? Quite the most bizarre bit of TV I've seen for yonks. It was basically a BBC crew following 2 fellas and a woman walking naked from one end of the country to the other, stopping off in towns to buy provisions and getting arrested a lot. The main character was an absolute tosser, yet bizarrely had a rather simple acolyte in the other fella who hung off his every word, and a besotted girlfriend (one of 2 - the scenes where the 2nd girl briefly joined up with them were cringeworthy carcrash TV). The reporter was ostensibly polite though in that Louis Theroux kind of way, letting them er literally expose themselves. Even then, eventually the reporter snapped and asked the lead character to eat with his mouth closed... really, 5 minutes in the company of this naked nutter would be too much... eating habits was the least of his social problems. Lots of the camera work was decidedly dodgy too with bizarre rear view between the legs shots that did not aid my sleep last night. Still, top entertainment though in a grizzly but gripping kindaway... |

Read the Guardian article on the programme and then avoided it on the grounds that it looked like one of those "let's all stare at the borderline mentally ill" programmes. Which, it seems, it was. |
