No idea if any of you've heard of him, but he's put out some excellent blues and rock records over the years. Real shame, real loss. Died after a battle with lung cancer at age 45. "Chris Whitley is a Texas-based singer-songwriter who initially began his career as a bluesy roots-rocker, but as his career progressed, he moved deeper into rock & roll and alternative rock." |
