I empathise with your problem, though as previous posters have said it may be a little too early to judge things just yet… I always think it takes at least six months to sus a new job out. Until things improve, however, you need to transform yourself from victim to aggressor… Here’s 3 easy steps: 1) Wake up in the morning. Shout “I’M THE F88KING GREATEST!!!” in the mirror, followed by your most aggressive war cry: RAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! 2) Arrive at work, barge into managers office pin him to the wall, threaten to cut his thimbs off/kill his children/rape his parents until he’s a quivering broken mess … 3) Calmly return to desk. Start work |

As the others have said: Give it more time (3 months min) Try and be assertive rather than moany (easier said than done, I know). If it hasn't picked up after 3 months carry on but start looking for a new job. There's thousands of 'em out there. But whatever you do, don't chuck it all in to become a poker player. |

cheers guys. i really appreciate the messages. after another horrible day, i've now managed to whip myself into a 'they're definintely going to fire me' frenzy, which isn't really very helpful. i think perhaps i just need to chill. not easy, but i've a pot noodle in the kitchen and 'i'm a celebrity' is on later, so there's hope! thanks again though peeps, and if i manage to make it to the gig tomorrow, i'll treat y'all to a bag of pork scratchings and a wedgie. x |
