On the Observer Review letters page today. Following an absolutely moronic article about internet music coverage (stimulated by, you've guessed, the Arctic Monkeys) last week, there's a letter from one 'John Doe' that suggests they look at a couple of blogs that are "exciting, free and easy to read", including www.indie-mp3.co.uk/blog/blog.htm, which of course is Bola! |

Feck me he says quickly checking the review part of his digital Observer. I bet my English teacher is turning in his grave. Your article on music blogs ('Geek translations', 13 November) was guilty of stereotyping bloggers, many of whom write relatively sensible reviews. Inventing the term 'Bloglish' and inviting a language expert to analyse how bloggers make up words created an extremely negative stereotype: 'Blogs are unapproachable'. In fact, many blogs are exciting, free and easy to read. I recommend your writer looks at www.abougu.co.uk/swishblog, www.indie-mp3.co.uk/blog/blog.htm, and takeyourmedicinemp3.blogspot.com One of the other blogs mentioned Take Your Medicine is one of my regular reads. |
