Met bloke through footy club I support who manages a band called Monkeyrush. Not seen or heard 'em yet so not commending them as such but hope to pop along next Wednesday (16th) to Black Sheep Bar in Croydon to check them out. They're also appearing at Dublin Castle on 25th and Notting Hill Arts Club on Tuesday 6th December. If you get a chance to see 'em, please post your thoughts and I'll pass them on (within reason).

As far as I know, they were monkeys before Artic Monkeys but why do you get rash of bands with similar names? Is it Jungian or summat?

On subject of which, just remembered, there's a punk band of 13 year olds (from a Croydon area school) called Flaming Monkeys who have entered XFM's battle of the bands type thing.
