Genuine ones please... I worked for Millers Pies in Poole one summer many years ago and used to grease the black puddings. This basically involved me dipping the matt black pudding into a vat of what I think was vegetable oil and basically buffing it up in an extremely homo-erotic manner. (I think PGK does the job now... ![]() |

Various dodgy jobs when I was still at school but worst was putting the fluffy inside bit into Moon Boots. I was about 14 or 15 and me and my brother would stand for 8 hours a day in our holidays stuffing these stupid boots. ![]() I was employed as a garden centre assistant, I've sold ice creams, candy floss and doughnuts on Southend Seafront, been a waitress, worked behind a bar - all the normal stuff really. |

I used to work for this agency in the long summer breaks whilst I was at uni. They used to phone me up in the morning to say they had a day or a couple of days work for me in whatever town but most of the time they didnt specify what work it was. On one occasion they sent me to this large accountance firm in Watford and it turned out that I had to cover for the Tea Lady whilst she was on holiday, it was quite amusing rattling around the plush offices with this tea trolley. There was one job they sent me to that I thought was going to be just a spot of gardening for some old folks but it turned out I had to totally redesign their garden, chop down trees, plant new stuff and lay turf. I know nothing about gardening so I reckon I everything I planted would have died. Another vaguely memorable job was transporting and assembling metal beds into a newly built halls of residence at Brunel University. That was pretty knackering. |

Yep, I went to school in Southend and grew up nearby. Admittedly I left and moved to London when I was 19 but I always ended going back when my living arrangements went awry!! I don't mind it - you just have to know where to avoid! |

I used to work in a factory (8am-4.30pm with only one half hour break) most of the time being spent packaging these things... ...y'see that plastic casing? That's fucking sharp! Used to cut me hands to ribbons so it did... |
