Perusing through the naff inflight glossy lifestyle mag for Sunset Holidays on the plane back from Cyprus I stumbled across an article nestled between pieces on The Joys of Iceland and Fun Things To Do In Lesbos 2 pages about the indie music. Even more surprising was that it was by young Emily Warner who used to write for us! It was basically an article on why the current live indie rock scene is so hot and which bands to look out for. Not sure when it was written but this was the Summer 2005 issue so I was a tad bemused by the presence in the list of the Hives and D4... There was also a fair few typos in there like the Razorlight, the Dogs and Greenday but to her credit amongst a fairly predictable list of big name big label fodder (Franz Ferdinand, the Darkness, etc) she included two of the lickle bands she covered repeatedly for us (and interviewed): Metro Riots and Dirty Social Disorder.

I just wonder how much they'd pay for something like this? Perhaps one for Honey and Noodles in view of their jobs...
