Harsh review! But hey it's not everybody's thing, I would be interested to know what sort of music this reviewer does enjoy. If I could offer a suggestion, maybe some constructive critism would be more productive, rather than comparing a band to a unfortunate disaster in which several people lost their lives (I find this in poor taste). Maybe this reveiwer would be more suited to a less ALTERNATIVE site! Personally I liked the demo, and i'm definately the wrong side of 25. Anyway, hey hoe, it's all just a matter of opinion, and yours my friend is brash and frankly pointless! |

That's not a review, it's a pointless rant from a narrow minded individual, with no appreciation of other genres and styles outside of his own limited and frankly childish veiw of the general music scene. I think it's sad that anyone has to be that insulting about something in which someone worked so hard over. Any half wit with a PC can write a review, and this is clearly the case here. Dookerdoo has said it all really - only thing is I've listened to the tracks on the site and they really are crap. Essentially, it's emo (they have an even lamer name for it). It reminds me of Lostprophets and all those passionate and whiny bands who think that the whole fucking world is against them (and it is when they're this self-indulgent). Anyway, whoever said a review had to be fair? A review has never been objective; it's always filtered through a listener's likes, dislikes, previous listening and basic prejudices. But them's the breaks when you put something into the public domain and if you don't like it, go back to your bedroom and play for your mates only. Why should the world listen to any more of this shit just because you made it? You've had more listeners through your display of petulence than you would normally get, so well done. The downside is that even more people know you for the vapid ideas-free timewasters that you are. You have a good log-in name, Faceman, so well done for that but don't trouble the world with your banal music unless it has the vaguest spark of promise. Just console yourself that more goth girls will sleep with you because you're in a band than if you weren't, so count your blessings. |
