They are playing a tiny pub venue near to myself, put their name into my ask list to see if anybody wanted to come not knowing much about them and have been inundated with people wanting to go. Whats the deal with them, mostly those the, ahem, wrong side of 30 who are up for it, but stupidly keen the lot of them. David Gedge is it? What have I, or haven't I, been missing out on people? |

Only one way to find out and that's go and see them. They were excellent at The Camden Crawl earlier this year but only Gedge is left from the original line-up as the band is really Cinerama with the Weddoes name. Better still, head to , join their trial and with the free 50 mp3s and download "George Best" and "Tommy" for starters. |

Burn or buy the albums "Tommy", "George Best" and "Bizarro". In fact anything prior to 1990 is excellent, especially their finest three minutes "Kennedy". |

My favourite band of all time. Simple as that. Immediately jumped onto Trainline to see if it was feasible to go to the Southend gig but sadly the last train back to London is 23.12 so it's not really worth the risk. Booked to see them in London in November instead. |
