Interesting piece onn BBC site about how people are acting in London at the moment. (). Have to say whilst I have personally made small alterations to my journey - the odd walk here or there rather than travelling 1 or 2 stops via tube - the fact that I have to get into central London has made me a lot more business as usual when I do travel and as usual I just bury my head in my paper rather than rubberneck round the carriage or bus.

However my son travelling on a train with me to a playscheme in my office today had me losing sleep last night.

What's been really bizarre though has been the people from way outside London who, ignoring the actual odds, have been refusing to come to meetings in London because of the incidents. Stupid brown trousered northern monkeys! (selectively choosing to ignore his own birth certificate)

I'm not afraid to say that i'm still quite shaken by the events - mainly because I know it's nowhere near over - it's a new way of life that I will have to adapt to - i've had so many nightmares regarding this that a friend bought me a bracelet the other day that symbolises safe travel - i'm probably over-reacting but i'm not taking any unnecessary journeys at the mo - and yes, Bovey, where children are concerned the fear intensifies. I know that eventually i'll have to go back to business as usual but for now i'm taking no chances I checked the link and I find it weird that people are attaching skin colour to the terroists - they come in all colours and sexes but i'd say that most people given the opportunity would sit next to the white man with a briefcase over anything else...

I have stopped listening to my walkman on the underground, half to hear if they are going to decide not to stop where I want to get off and also, whilst very far fetched, so that someone of a plain clothesed nature doesn't think I am ignoring them.

I still have to travel into London for work but thankfully not on the tube, (I've always hated it anyway.) I certainly wouldn't travel in at all if I had the choice.

I haven't changed my pattern at all. Feel a wee bit apprehensive at times, but it has to be done. Brought the kids up to the Proms on Sunday - they were a bit nervous, but a good time was had by all, when they played the Dr Who theme a dalek came up from the RAH floor and chased the kids. Great stuff.

i think its probably over in london. im about to move over there in two weeks and i would be surprised if anything happend. if you die in one of these attacks well thats it you die. walking instead of catching the tube means you are increasing you chances of getting hit by a car. whats the vibe like at the moment?
