Did anybody see Embrace? - God awful! I didn't like them much in the first place but they def' can't cut it live - an event like this normally sorts the boys from the men and they were fully exposed  Magic numbers on the other hand were a marvel to watch - the crowd loved it. Romeo is the man.

All I caught was New Order and James Brown.  Switched over to watch a program on BBC4 about the history of NME. Reminded me what a good paer it once was - plus the dark days of Penman and Morley when you'd need a degree in psychobabble to under stand whether they liked something or not. The programme finished by stating rightly that these days it tries to love everyone ie is in the industy's pocket...

Did you see Brown getting interviewed? What was that all about? And who or what was the thing sitting next to him who he couldn't label? 'My wife, or girlfriend or...' And his philosophy for the youth of today - 'Get an education or you'll end up with no money like me...' Er, ok James - or better still just don't be a sex offender and get imprisoned? Oww!
