Libertines' Car Barat's selections for one of those comps out Monday seems remarkably mainstream: 1. Mama’s And The Papas - Dream A Little Dream 2. David Bowie - Oh You Pretty Things 3. Bob Dylan - Hurricane 4. Small Faces - The Universal 5. The Las - Son Of A Gun 6. Supergrass - Sitting Up Straight 7. New York Dolls - Personality Crisis 8. Clash - Remote Control 9. Jam - Eaton Rifles 10. Stranglers - No More Heroes 11. Specials - Too Much Too Young 12. The Smiths - Big Mouth Strikes Again 13. Mouldy Peaches - Whose Got The Crack 14. Pulp - Sorted For E’s And Whiz 15. Streets - Fit But You Know It Some cracking tracks though. |

Who buys these albums? I saw the Weller one a few months back and there's some piss poor tunes on that one. |

There are a few bands on there that I thought would have been quite hard to acquire the rights to, dylan etc. I quite like these albums to be honest though it is rare to get more than a couple of tracks you don't already know on them. |

I think there are maybe 1000000 other albums i would but before i invested in a mix cd made by someone famous. It is interesting to know whats on it but buying it is a completly different story. The Ian Brown one was interetsing however |
