Kubb played at Middlesbrough music live on Sunday. I only caught the end of their set but one of my mates said that they were the best band at the festival. However, he does have a very poor taste in music.

Just booked up the pair of Kubb and Field Music these for the Barfly Wednesday 17th August and Arctic Monkeys for the previous week in Southend. Anyone know much about any of them?, going purely on mates advice as haven't heard a track by any of them. I know A M have just been signed to Domino. |

flacid casual was telling me yesterday that he saw kubb supporting joy zipper and thought they were terrible, but said they clearly had money behind them and lots of people had come to see them after seeing them on later he also has terrible taste in music (flacid casual and jules holland) |

I saw Kubb on Later and they were major label dross - melodramatic fluff. Singing bass players are, with the odd exception, usually best avoided. Or is that the old Sting problem raising it'd puss addled tantric head again? |

I don't think Jools Holland has any taste in music. He just describes anyone and everyone as "fantastic" and that's as far as it goes with him. Still, I'd rather have his show on terrestrial TV than the alternatives - or nothing at all. |
