Wigan's own Moco are back in London again for another riotous evening of music. Having played in the past with the likes of The Charlatans and The Electric Six, Moco are now on the verge of the greatness they deserve. A critically acclaimed debut album 'Out To Go' was released at the end of 2004, and only a couple of weeks ago, Moco were the subject of a 15 minute Channel 4 "4-Play" documentary. Check out
"If they aint big stars in the making, NME will show its arse in Burtons window" NME
"Out to Go explodes like an Elephant in a microwave, leaving you nauseous, confused and desperate to happen again." NME 7/10
"make The Darkness look like pussies, powerful enough to banish The Datsuns back to the hole they crawled out of" - highvoltage.org.uk
"Moco are in the premier league of the new guitar bands" soundsxp.com
"There aren’t many bands that can rock and roll. There are even fewer who can do it properly. You’d be just as well to give Moco the credit for inventing it " manchestermusic.co.uk
"After all the hype about The White Stripes and The Strokes being the saviours of rock n'roll, I'd rather put my money on Moco any day" musicomh.com
"Sort it out now. Moco are the future." bbc.co.uk
**IDIOVERSE***
Idioverse is a band that takes all the advances in alternative and hard rock and mixes them together to make something that is different from what is currently out.
Alternating between wide, sweeping melodies and schizophrenic freakouts, the songs paint grand pictures, full of clashing elements and clamorous imagery. Sometimes they even pack the bombast of prime Achtung Baby-era U2.
this British quartet distills twenty years of post-punk into dense, tense musical statements.
**THE VCS***
Friends of Moco, The V.Cs are lean, taught, precision-raid, electro surf-rock wig-out action; like Dick Dale careering through the set of a Tarantino-directed sci-fi B-Movie, in super-hero costume, chased by The Cramps.
"The V.Cs have arrived. Explanation is impossible." Playmusic 'Best New Band' feature
"Superheroes in a musical metropolis populated by the corrupt and the crooked." - The Fly
"Insanely brilliant. 5/5 - Teletext
"...summoning visions of Betty Page in leopard-skin panties fighting off a bug-eyed monster with a stiffy. Rise up and reject conformity - follow The V.Cs like your life depends on it." - Artrocker
***AURORA**
Aurora start the night off with their well-rehearsed rock. Clearly lots of Nirvana influences, by no means a bad thing. A polished and confident live act that will get the night off to a flying start.
