No particular order: Dresden Dolls Angry piano-punk. Spider Jerusalem Siouxsie-esque goth punk, Bournemouth's finest. Piney Gir! Everyone knows who she is. Aurelie French singer-songwriter, not dissimilar to Kate Bush Gastr Del Sol Jim O Rourke's avante garde indie outfit. Stop It, You're Killing Me Thom Wykes and Cat Bone, formerly of Battered Action Figure. Deirdre Whimsical alt-country. Wry lyrics and twee tunes. Smog, Alt-country genius Bill Callahan. Mugison Iceland's new Bjork. But male. Spies In Limbo Noisy, screechy feedback from Guildford. |

Bovine Juice we're very flattered to've made your list! Thankyou. And nice to see The Priscillas have made numerous lists, i saw them at the Dirty Water club not too long ago and they were really great. Im not sure all of these are truly obscure, but here's ten bands i think are/were overlooked a little... The Triumphs Positive Noise Pietra Montecorvino The Violets The Wipers The Saints Mitten Blind Willie Johnson Luxembourg Del-Vetts |

[quote="Minge Puppet Elwood Grace supported Tom Vek the other week - thought they were ok for a few songs then faded. I did hear that this was only their third gig, so perhaps there's more to come? They played the same night as us at the Pleasure Unit last month - so what was their other gig?[/quote] Minge puppet, (I love typing that name), what was Vek like? As for this thread, i'm just not trendy enough to comment ![]() ![]() ![]() |
