You're having a :lol: Muir - ESOTSM is the worst film ever! Utter shite! I watched it saturday gone. To say that I hated Winslet's character would be the understatement of the year - I wanted her dead! - I could not give a flying fuck about her - I sat dismayed as Jim tried desperately to hide her in hidden parts of his memory :roll: ...I thought - 'Fuck her off Jim! She's melodramatic and blames you for everything..you need her like you need a whole in the head...er... and her accent is dire... :roll: ' It was not complex just plain boring...

Well Cavey, maybe it's time I watched it again! I've just sent off for the Special Edition DVD, released this week, which comes with a screenplay book and no fewer then three audio commentaries on the disc. If you were bored with it first time round just imagine sitting through all that.

I don't totally agree with Supergraham though as I just didn't get The Life Aquatic or The Royal Tenenbaums (same director). The former was interesting I suppose (e.g. the cut-away of the ship) but I didn't find either very funny and couldn't see what they were trying to say. Can anyone explain their appeal?
