Hello hello, I don't want to get too involved with this discussion, or try and take on a crowd of angry people (thanks to those who aren't jumping on the 'hatemob' bandwagon), but feel obliged to add a short defense from wetdog:
1) WE DID HAVE PERMISSION (from David Shaw, the promoter of the Lost Club) to borrow amps.
2) SOPHIE WAS NOT A 'BITCH' after the event - she was deeply in shock and had to spend 24 hours in hospital being monitored - she couldn't speak let alone act like a cow...
3) WE ARE NOT A NORTH LONDON BAND...(though this is completely irrelevent???)
4) WE ARE NOT TRYING TO 'PULL A FAST BUCK' Sophie is aiming to get compensation for loss of one month's earnings - INSURANCE SHOULD COVER THIS??? She isn't trying to claim money for her severe scarring or any 'psychological damages' despite being freaked out still (check her nasty entry and exit wounds, I'd be scared...).
SHE COULD HAVE DIED. I really like the Montague Arms alot and would not want to see it closed down, but neither do I understand why this event should result in it being closed down. Also, I think it's extremely important that all venues are kept safe. People are more important than pubs I think...
still, we look forward to a beating tonight then?!
nice...
