At the 25 years of Rough Trade gig I was chuffed to see the results of one of those drunken attention seeking whores from Queens of Noize attempting to crowd surf. As usual for a Libs gig at the time her and her mate were on stage, hogging the mikes, off their faces and generally being irritating. What would any inconsiderate media slag do under the circumstances but think it's acceptable to dive into the audience whilst wearing huge great stilettos...? Needless to say the audience were non too plussed at the prospect of being stabbed in the face by lethal footwear and parted. She fell head first onto the floor, reappeared, climbed back onto the stage, clearly concussed and bleeding, before staggering backstage. Ha! And no I'm not evil. |

My little sis broke her foot in three places at the Astoria - i've probably mentioned this before - she slipped on a bottle or cup - that's it all it took. She was rolling on the floor sobbing and they were sweeping around her, getting ready for G A Y E. A medic said she had just slightly sprained her ankle  We had to carry her to the station and at 5 in the morn she rang begging me to take her to casuality...and the rest is history...serves us right for going to watch goth rock..
