Remind me to never take Cavey's advice again! Last night I managed to spend just over 50 ill-afforded quid and manged to see a mere 5 songs by The Dears
The evening started pleasantly enough with a couple of pints with the lovely Beanie and her equally lovely fella but went pretty much downhill from there. Got to the venue to find that the band were on from 1030 - 1130 which was somewhat later than I'd hoped as the last train is at 1137 - grrr! To make matters worse, the band didn't make it on til 1045 meaning that I saw a mere 35 minutes before jumping in a taxi back to the station - and that opened with a 10 minute plus version of Postcard From Purgatory. Of the other four songs I saw, two weren't from the current album
All in all, a rather big disappointment really.
