I have a small tattoo on my lower belly - had it done when I was 17 (and my stomach was a whole lot flatter!)

It's a sort of sun type design that I'd had in mind for years and my mum helped me refine it before I had it done.

That was nearly 10 years ago and I don't regret it at all. I guess because my mum passed away a year after I had it done it has a huge amount of sentimental value and fortunately I think it looks quite nice.

What'll happen if I ever have a baby though - it'll stretch out of all recognition!

The thing is, if there's something you've always really wanted then you're unlikely to regret it I reckon - not something to do in haste.

I had it done in Southend at a well respected establishment - if you want to know then PM me (seeing as I wasn't old enough when I had it done I wouldn't want them to give them bad PR)

I don't suppose those of you that I have met have seen it though - seeing as I don't flash me belly too often?

I wouldn't mind getting one, but I'm a bit squeamish with needles and stuff.

Anarchy and I saw it when you somersaulted out of the cab at Victoria that time... Also caught a glimpse of a birthmark shaped like the Isle of Wight on your left buttock...

 Stop bringing that up - you'll have people thinking I'm some sort of hussy!

However - what do you reckon of the tatt though? I hope that nobody thinks it looks cheap or tacky?

A hussy? But you live in Hove. They don't exist there.

Not really a fan usually although I do myself have three teardrops tattooed below my right eye.

I was a bit nervous about long term with mine but the tattoo making guy had some wise words...

"if all you've got to worry about when you're 70 is the tattoo you had when you were 21 you've got it made... most people are more worried about getting to the toilet without pissing themselves"!

...genius words I've always thought :D

I was given one of these for Xmas http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0002LHXBG/o/qid=1107523395/sr=2-1/ref=sr_bt_1/202-1561489-0626246 not very glamourous but it plays the Ren and Stimpy stuff nicely (Rubber Nipple Salesmen is still the finest cartoon of all time) - not to mention my Butthole Surfers and Gillian Welch region 1s too. But don't forget - cartoons will ruin your mind!
