Touts may have been around since the dawn of time, but doesn't it seem to have all got a bit out of control of late? I found this on ebay...

- see the picture of twelve or so tickets fanned out! Worth £16 each and selling at £75 each!!

I don't know what it must be like trying to get tickets for 'hot' gigs like the Killers in London, but it seems to be a piss take and ebay make it too easy for words. This might just be a spasm of anger on my part, but surely something ought to be done?

I have no idea what of course.

Sometimes the touts lose out. Like when Oasis played at Knebworth and they ended up selling their tickets for £5 a pair.

Aren't ebay clamping down on ticket touts now? I think they stopped people selling Glasto tickets on there last year.

I feel no pity for anybody who can fork out for those kind of prices - I certainly could not. If people did not purchase tickets off them then they could not exist - so there's blame on both sides really. The whole touting thing pisses me off but there's nowt you can do about it

p.s - I love The Killers personally...

Never bothered me until the last few months when I have struggled big time to get tickets for some gigs, bloc party tickets were sold to just 15 multiple buyers and queens of the stone age camden gig was farcical, what really grates is that they are advertised on ebay literally minutes later. Got nothing against people slling a spare ticket on ebay and if people bid silly amounts then fair enough but they aren't even bids they are set price items, in one of the sunday papers they were advertising front row seats to a gig that hasn't even gone on sale, think it was cream at the royal albert hall.

Grrrr, lazy touting too, they don't even have to endure the cold weather anymore, there was an element of self-satisfaction knowing they would be stood in the cold and rain atleast before. There are websites that people sell tickets at cost but ebay will have to look into this soon.
