It was fine, Kane, really. We'd have passed you onto another zine if it hadn't been.

This helped me when I began. (The bit about how to be a rock journalist.)

I can't believe anyone would seriously take the advice of Muir about how to be anything other than a sick giraffe snogging pervert...

Anyway Kane you are now one of these http://www.soundsxp.com/other/ads_old12.html

i know what you mean. johnny anarchy suggested i review one of the bands we saw on saturday (i like them, he hated them) and i immediately got the fear and said no. as i'm actually a journalist (of sorts) by trade, i'm afraid of being shown up as the talentless charlatan i really am!

ps: read your review and it was fine! there's nothing worse than a writer who tries too hard. you know, the whole 'ooh, must throw in a long word here or a poncy metaphor there'. writing honestly, from the heart is always the best! :D

But what if your heart is full of poncy metaphors?

hell, if your hearts full of 'em that's fair enough!

i don't think it necessarily makes someone a better writer though!
