I see poor old Rodders has got himself sacked from Sky Sports after coming out with a joke about the tsunami on Monday night. The gag was "Beckham won't go to Newcastle after the devastation the Toon Army caused in the Far East..". Unfunny and crap maybe but hardly on the same scale as silly old Big Ron and his racist comment.

Its a rubbish joke though, he should be sacked for the poor quality not the poor taste.

I liked the mp a while back who kept making bad taste jokes like the cockle pickers and the like. Think it was her who said she had to make her speech short as she had left her pet dog with the neighbours , and they were korean.

I quite like Rodders. He's thick but doesn't take himself too seriously unlike some of the other personality bypasses on the Saturday scores program. Alan Mullery in particular springs to mind. Irritating cockney twat. The only thing that irritates me about Rodders though is the myth that he's a City fan. Sure he has a soft spot for us and financially it makes sense for him to persist with that image but if he really cared he wouldn't sit there laughing like an idiot when our back four is all over the shop or describe an opposition goal with such gusto when we're losing. Much as Frank McLintock's useless at least you know he really cares about how the Arse are doing.
