IDLEWILD are to follow their current acoustic jaunt with a full electric tour of the UK and Ireland following the release of new album ‘WARNINGS/PROMISES’.

The band release the LP, the follow-up to 2002's 'The Remote Part', on March 7. The first single to be taken from the album, ‘Love Steals Us From Loneliness’, is released on February 21.

The Scots rockers will then hit the road, with the dates starting in Folkestone on April 15.

The dates are:


Folkestone Leas Cliffe Hall (April 15)
Nottingham Rock City (17)
Cambridge Corn Exchange (18)
Norwich UEA (19)
Sheffield Octagon (21)
Stoke Victoria Hall (22)
Manchester Academy (23)
Birmingham Academy (24)
Leeds University (26)
Dublin Ambassador Theatre (28)
Belfast Mandela Hall (29)
Aberdeen Music Hall (May 1)
Glasgow Barrowlands (2)
Edinburgh Usher Hall (3)

Tickets go on sale on January 28 at 9am. For availability after then, click here or call the NME Ticketline on 0870 1 663 663.

Idlewild kick off a series of sold-out, intimate acoustic shows tomorrow (January 22).

The shows take place at:

Glasgow RAMDA Concert Hall (January 22)
Manchester RNCM (23)
Bristol St Georges (25)
London Shaw Theatre (26) I WILL BE THERE
