Whole family watching record of the year tv show, turned round to me and said you like music how comes you aren't watching this as it's the best new songs from this year. Absolutely dreadful, Busted singin the thunderbirds theme is apparently one of the 10 best songs of the last 52 weeks.

However, I will admit to liking that Will Young song 'I think I'd better leave right now', there I've said it now, no backtracking. I realise I am setting myself up for a barrage of critical abuse so I might as well go the whole hog, I really liked Tatu, that sounds of the underground song by girls allowed I liked and Sophie Ellis Bextor's Murder On The Dancefloor is one of my favourite songs.

Any one else brave enough to admit their gremlins?

She's still good looking now and now makes a living writing songs for other pop hopefuls. She co-wrote Hear'Says "Pure & Simple".

By the way does anyone on here have a copy of the video for "Hangover" by Betty Boo?

Shame. It's much funnier when good looking people age badly, like Farrah Fawcett and Debbie Harry. Haha.

One of Gabrielles singles had a songwriting credit from a certain B Dylan, not totally sure why

Because the tune was a rip off of Knocking on Heaven's Door.

Euurgh! shes very insipid

Insipid is the word for about 98% of pop singers around at the moment. Hmm... I dont really want to generalise but there seems to be a massive lack of charisma in the pop world and a lack of a unique voice. Where are the Ella Fitzgeralds, Frank Sinatras, Billie Holidays.. of this generation? Yes, I know these people were complete one-offs but noone comes even close.

Agreed. If you've heard one, you've heard them all.

I shall be saving my this year's guilty pleasures for the SoundsXP writer's poll (be afraid - be VERY afraid  ).

Previous poptastic delights in the Coleslaw bedroom have included:
Tatu - All The Things She Said
Spice Girls - just about everything but Stop in particular
B*Witched - C'est La Vie
Hear'Say - Pure And Simple
Scooch - For Sure
Ace of Base - Always Have, Always Will
Vengaboys - Boom Boom Boom Boom
S Club 7 - Don't Stop Movin'

and many, many more to be honest.

Mate of mine had a brief, er, dalliance with her a few years back. Her name's Alison, isn't it?

Guilty! Tho' there's a difference between being sent dahn for crimes to society (musical or otherwise) or gowing down for pleasure....

Anyways, my guilty pleasure is probably Ace of Base "All that she wants". They're probably in the Concretes nowadays....
