Where is the curmudgeonly rock n roll time traveller? Is he ok?

New Year's resolution to post here less?
Got a load of pre 1970 issues of Playboy for Christmas and locked himself in his room with a box of vintage Kleenex?
Built that time machine and travelled back to the 'good old days'?
Finally given in to his repressed love of Oasis and gone on a pilgrimage to Burnage?

All of the above? But mainly the new year's rezzie I suspect.

Quiet without him though.

The plot thickens.

Perhaps they've come to a pact to withdraw their forum labour to protest/highlight the feeble efforts of the rest of us.

Like a strike? That's brilliant.

Looks like the strike is going pretty well for them so far.

I got the impression he was going to leave these forums after Christmas due to him and Kev being the only posters. I hope that's the reason and nowt has happened to him.

Yeah I think they got fed up of posting - Kev's account on twitter has gone weird also. I read/check forum but spill all my nonsense out on twitter (as Matt and Neil can confirm) so unless there's a post that I feel passionate about, I just sit back and read.

Yeah, I was too, you hear all these stories about old people getting into trouble in the winter and no-one even notices it - the meals on wheels just keep piling up until finally someone realises that something's wrong...

But last week I checked his fantasy football team and there were active transfers for that week, so, I guess he's ok :)

He's probably reading this, actually. Hi, Milchy!

Naughty Horses.

The board is basically dead. Should give Milchy his own Raves from the Grave playlist slot on the main site

I agree, like most forums these days, that the board is dead. Time to move the forum to Facebook?

As a FB group, or something else?

Agreed - it's everywhere - twitter and facebook have rendered forums useless - it's definitely time to rethink the community aspect of SoundsXP - it's a lovely little community and we should keep it going in some form.

Milchy stoped posting a previous new year. I then bumped into him at the Windmill and asked him what was going on and he said that he found himself going on it about 10 times a day (along with a few other forums) and was just wasting his life sat at the laptop for little gain and was cutting it out. I guess that's what he's done here too and it coincided with new year's resolution, etc.

As for Kev - it's health. He sent me an email to say he's not well (ME) and needed time out from reviewing from this site and his own. Wish him well.

Glad he is okay.

As for the forum I guess another reason is that it is a bit dead is because it's a bit dated. We cannot embed anything in posts (youtube, vimeo, soundloud, bandcamp etc) despite that functionality existing other forum platforms (Bovine - aychance at looking int this?) I tried breathing new life into it by posting more than usual but aside from the pub crawl (and new TV thread) nowt else seem to be happening. Even spammers have moved on elsewhere.
