Considering all she achieved in the music sphere, bit of an insult that that article refers to little else but her relationship with Ian Curtis.

Absolutely. That's why I left that bit out of my post. However it was the only article in English I could find at the time. New Order have mentioned her passing on their website now.

This is an interview with her in French published again today as a tribute. EDIT: I found an English translation here.

NME ran a piece late yesterday. Unsurprisingly it only mentions the fact she was Curtis' girlfriend, but then given that their readership is teens and early 20s, the rest would probably be lost on them anyway, so I can't really blame them for making that the main point. Although at least some acknowledgement of her other work would have been nice.
