You seem far too curmudgeonly to have a girlfriend, Milch. Is this a new development? Could your curmudgeonly, 'scooby doo theme park owner vibe' be set to make way for new, 'loved up' Milchman?

Or is it a long term thing that only contributes to your glorious fustiness?

It's not new & has no bearing on my alleged fustiness whatsoever.

I was thinking that. Is she curmudgeonly too? Do you get her to pose for black and white photos holding stacks of rare 7" singles from ye olden days with old gramophones in front of her like in your record porn threads?

No, no and what record porn threads? Speculate all you want, but I'm not making any more comments on the subject!

The thread with all the photos from Girls Gone Vinyl in! And I'm not speculating, I'm winding you up! ;)

What's the betting she's a rock 'n' roll legend of some kind. I wouldn't put it past the Milchman.

Dolly Parton is famously private on her mysterious husband - Milchy, is it Dolly?

:D

I bet she's in some obscure garage band!

Help needed!

'60s throwback Paul Messis has a new single out on Monday. The B-side I'm sure nicks part of its melody from another song. I can't quite get it, but I think it's quite famous. Any ideas? It's the second one here ('Penny Arcade').

The guitar riff is somewhat reminiscent of this:

Oh yeah - both tracks are very Byrds. In fact, the A-side has a distinct whiff of 'Eight Miles High' to part of it, and the guitar on that sounds like something off their debut album. That melody is very close to another song though. Hopefully it'll come to me!

Two bands from Manchester. The latter recording was a bit more of a success than the original!
Bet they didn't pay them any royalties though.

Gerry & The Holograms ... Gerry & The Holograms / New Order ... Blue Monday
