Yeah cracking goal that and a cracking game if memory serves (couldn't you have posted it any earlier mate?)

Talking about stunning goals scored by a player on the losing side did anyone see Huntelaar's goal for Schalke last night?

EDIT: http://sabotagetimes.com/sport/huntelaa ... the-decade

This one was shown a lot in my youth.

Glen Hoddle, Spurs v Man Utd 1979

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UV58u6TtEqQ

I am pretty sure he scored a near identical goal against someone else but am struggling to remember who it was against.

EDIT: v Forest. 36 seconds in here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlCwz4O85Y8

Yeah a great skill and finish. Mind you I like his one against Argentina even better given the timing of the goal.

Monday

Bearing in mind it was a Wembley Cup Final and we were 1-0 down against a pretty determined packed defence, pardon me if I have a cheeky punt on Yaya Toure's wonder strike v Sunderland yesterday. Partisan undoubtedly and in the top 100 goals ever, probably not but wow what a strike:

Yeah, it was a lovely one that, Bovey. And congrats on your first trophy of the season - did you go to the game?

Nope. Always difficult these days with 34000 season ticket holders and me having one point on my membership (the home game v Spurs) but not helped by completely forgetting that a cup final could happen this early in the season. I shall need to up my game if we reach the FA Cup semis.

What a goal and what a star our Yaya is, he certainly knows how to deliver in the big games. Fast making a bid for becoming our best player ever.

A really great goal and yet not even the best one they scored in that tournament.

You mean the goal scored after numerous passes. I cannot remember the scorers name. It's was a great goal.

One of my favourite ever goals. Can't find a better quality video of it sadly.

David Ginola. Newcastle vs. Ferencvaros (1996)

It's shocking and sad that that Newcastle team actually won nothing.
