'fraid so. Apparently, he did it on some TV show with various singers doing songs from the movies.
I've not seen it, but I expect it's on YouTube, should you wish to satisfy your curiosity.

Well chosen Horses. It's always a positive when choices for this thread include covers that are quite different from the original and maybe not an obvious song for a particular band to cover. Plus it meant Kev didn't get to post that Craig David song!

Not strictly speaking the original, that was by The Three Eddies, but the version that first popularised the song and my personal favourite version:

Lee Morse ... Tain't No Sin
(1929)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nlg46kIGm_Q

The cover version, from the theatrical production, The Black Rider: The Casting Of Magic Bullets:

Tom Waits & William Burroughs ... Tain't No Sin
(1993)

Great one here. Love that riff in the Fabs' version - I learned it as soon as I heard it on Back From The Grave (volume 1?), the only other song I know by The Fabs is 'Dinah Wants Religion' which is less good and on another of the BFTG comps, I think number 3?

Dinah was the flipside of Bag; less good, but great opening lines:

Dinah wants religion
Well how do you know?
Coz every time that church bell rings
My Dinah has to go!

It was their only record.
