No excuses for death of granny stories, I'm talking everyday life from the past but crap...
I'll kick off with that feeling on a Sunday night when it's 7:15 and the music for the opening credits of Last of the Summer Wine kicked in and you knew you were only an hour, hour and a half at best away from bed and then school again. And worst of all most of that time would be spent watching the biggest load of dreary sentimental bollocks ever to hit the TV screen...
Using washing up liquid to wash your hair. No wonder all photos of me from that period have this spotty youth with lank greasy hair in them...
Oh and going into the bathroom (well shower room, we didn't have a bath) for a poo and realising that there was no toilet paper left. Instead there would be a pile of neatly torn scraps of the Sunday tabloids. No wonder our bog was always blocking. And no this is not an excuse for some crap Pythonesq sketch - this really happened regularly...

I don't know why but when I see that Roger Sanchez video, 'Another Chance'? it makes my heart hurt - you know the one where the girl is walking around with the huge heart and it decreases in size as the day goes on due to rejection etc - and then the guy befriends her because it's a more reasonable size and that makes it swell again and then he rejects her and she's left waiting...i'm choked as i'm typing this
