Saw Redlands Palomino Co last night at the 100 Club. Excellent as always - review to follow in due course. Had a fun chat with Hannah from the band about the finer points of my review of the album. Hannah: Can I ask you a question? After hearing it live, do you still think 'The Same Sky' is complete bollocks? Me (diplomatically): It's just a little too, erm, 'coffee-table' for my liking. She also told me that it was the first time she's ever been criticised (I assume she meant musically) and thanked me for breaking her in gently ![]() |

You charmer you. You have broken rule 3 of the Soundsxp's reviewer's code which states. 'If asked for an opinion by a band member of the opposite sex you shall sigh and reply "I thought you were really great and you have lovely hair/eyes/tattoos/piercings*"' *as applicable This was passed by Johnny A so that he could legitimately avoid physical injury with the argument "Sorry dear, I had to say that, it's the law". |
