Really like these - they're from Nova Scotia and they're called Kestrels (Milchman man want to look away now as they're a bit shoegazey)

I was asked on Saturday if I'd be prepared to be interviewed for a book about shoegaze (FACT!). Think it's because I used to drive for My Bloody Valentine and shared a house with a couple of Lush, but I like to look on it as a simple opportunity to slag off Slowdive & Chapterhouse!

So Lush are better than Slowdive? No chance!

Actually I never much cared for Lush as a band either, but Miki & Chris were great flatmates and along with Emma, the three of them wonderful friends.

I know I'm generally talking to myself in this thread but I like both the tracks I've heard from Weird Dreams. Here's one of them.

I've been checking most of them out Kev. Nothing I've been totally bowled over by, but one new band recommendation a day is very welcome. Wish Trev would post a few on this thread, he sometimes unearths the odd gem.

Yeah it's difficult to come up with something stunning if it's every day but I like all the bands I've posted about (Exitmusic in particular). And of course I can only pick tracks that are streaming online. I have been bowled over by a few bands recently but they're not particularly new - just new to me.
