I was expecting A Classic Education to be lad-rock, but they're actually pretty good. Album's out Monday.

Yeah maybe 5 years? Not produced much though. Clancy's Canadian (or AMerican) but the rest are Italian and based in Bologna. He has a radio show out there that features some really good sessions too.

Just read Ged's review of Clancy's album. I was under the impression this was their debut album but I may be wrong - and therefore the post doesn't meet the criteria of the thread!

I think it's ok because they are still very much under most people's radar.

Quite like The Hollywood Sinners live, but a little too generic garage rock by numbers to cut it on record.

For me the best of the current crop of Spanish garage bands are Wau y los Arrrghs!!!
So, I'm choosing them for todays band:

These sound good. They're called Gospel Music - it's the bass player from Black Kids apparently. Indiepop type stuff.

Really liked The Long Blondes in their early days, although they never really fulfilled their potential. Having said that, those two tracks were fucking awful. Terrible middle of the road ploding pop/rock backing. Truely abysmal.

They're not great are they. Thought I'd post them because people might be interested to hear them.
