More evidence of quality - how embarrased does Vegetables look here? From the BBC site, which has credited him with winning back to back Championships with Forest - as if his achievements weren't great enough. 251 goals in 274 league appearances - amazing. |

Not only was Brian Clough a great manager but he was also a top class player. Cloughie was Boro's most prolific goalscorer averaging almost a goal a game over 6 seasons - 204 goals in 222 starts. A petition was started a few months back to get Cloughie knighted, if anyone deserved it was him. He'll be sadly missed. |
