I was waiting a a bus stop one night, it was quite dark and not a major stop. I stuck my arm out and leant forward into the road. The effing bus driver didn't see me. All of the passengers did and none of them bothered telling the driver. That was more than slightly annoying. Especially for my mate who had to drive 20 odd miles to pick me up and then drive back again.

I have cartoon-like images of you shaking your fist at the departing bus...

Fellow passengers who spend the preceding minutes keeping up to date with their oh-so-exciting lives via their f***ing phones instead of checking they've got their fare ready, and then holding everything up by having to rummage through their purse/wallet when the bus arrives, annoy me...

I need to give up on buses really...

Actually I just got laughed at by 2 people sat by a phone box and felt embarrassed. Then used the phone box to call my mate (it was pre mobiles, about 1996)

Have you got buses on the isles of scilly? "end of the line, please"... 10 seconds later... "cheers!"

The above incident took place when I was living elsewhere. We do have buses here though. 2 or 3 tour buses, a community bus... that kind of thing. If I missed a bus here I wouldn't need a lift to somewhere 20 miles away to get home.

I think I might sometimes do that :?

I left school without much grasp of grammar etc, so there are still things that I regularly fuck up on...

Moving away from grammar and syntax, it always winds me up to hear council housing referred to as "subsidised housing". It's bad enough when lying Tory cunts like Grant Shapps (the one who also falsely claims that the law allows squatters to move into your home when you are on holiday) do it to give credence to their vile housing policy, but I've also heard the phrase used on TV & radio news reports and even in The Guardian. Council rents are NOT subsidised. The building of council homes may receive funding, but that funding has to be paid back. All council rents include a payment that goes to the exchequer. Mortgage payers receive a subsidy in the form of tax relief, so if anything it is council tenants subsidising home owners, not vice versa!

The please stop smoking ads by kids. So sincere, that they have to read from an autocue. :? Where's the Please stop drinking yourself to death? Please stop driving your 4x4, the exhaust fumes are killing me. Please stop eating yourself to death. Please stop gambling away all of your money and leaving us without anything. Please stop dancing at weddings, it's killing me. Please stop befriending me on facebook. Why stop at smoking I say. Please stop doing everything.
