Not many surprises but interesting reading all the same. Can't say as I'm shocked to read Sheffield and Nottingham are heavy domains, last time I was in the latter the aptly named Rock City venue was pumping out metal/trash, etc over three floors. Interesting to see how some tastes have changed though. When I was at school in Poole in my late teens it was very much a hard rock place (although it was new wave I was into), now thanks to continental tourists and of course the beaches it's eurodisco central on the south coast. |
