So has nobody heard Fanfarlo in Kwiksave or the Redskins at a Tory Party policy launch?

oh yeah! just remembered about the time I went to Slovenia and we went trekking in the forrest in search of these magnificent caves and when we reached the entrance, after about an hour and a half's walk, we were greeted by the sounds of The Bishops through the tinny stereo in the cafe. Suddenly I didn't feel so far away.

That's amazing, VV. Happy birthday soon, Gavd's daughter. Erm, 'Turning Japanese' in my brother's pub in the middle of nowhere just as a lovely japanese family were leaving the premises. Now that's music timing. Does that count? I think it does when all I had been exposed to was traditional celt music and daniel o'feckingdonnell.

At Binion's Horseshoe in Vegas I once heard "Sex Dwarf" by Soft Cell playing over the PA. The good ol' boys nearly spat out their toothpicks at that one.

dooks, I bought the Tacticians album last Friday... from a charity shop on Whitecross Street. I nearly fell over when I saw it in there. £2 I paid for it...

Don't know whether or not I should tell you that :?

Six Music? XFM? They seem to meet the criteria!

My daughter (who's rather younger) likes SDT's "So Much for Love" for dancing around to. And Chuck's Umm Na Nagay.

Mind you apprently she was also head-banging to You Shook Me All Night Long yesterday - which makes her dad even prouder...

I've got free satellite (which really makes Sky cross - though they've stopped rining up about it since I explained to them at great length one day how cancelling my Sky subscription had made me a better person).

One of the music channels on there is Rockworld.tv, which is mostly nu-metal and emo nonsense, but fairly regularly they have really decent live stuff on there - for instance the other Saturday morning when CBeebies had finally done my head in, I was flicking channels and ended up with half an hour of Deerhoof in concert.

I heard Deerhunter at Gatwick Airport last week on the general elevator music type public address system. That was odd.
