For the next week you can listen to Marc Riley's Brain Surgery show that was broadcast on Thursday 5 April: http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/shows/brain_surgery/ It features a live session from the Schla La Las that is very good but also very entertaining. There's some excellent banter between Lard and the girls and a fascinating account of how they met. I met him briefly after the Schlas played (and pressed some CDRs into his hand in the hope that he'll get as excited about these bands as we are) and can confirm what Dookerdoo had said in a previous thread, that he really is a top bloke, shelling out for drinks for the band in the BBC bar (admittedly the ridiculously subsidised BBC bar). |
