I can't eat a meal where bean juice and egg yolk have mixed. It'd be like suckling Beelzeebub's jism, clearly. What little foibles, food or otherwise, do you have? |

can't sleep with the bedroom door open. can't sleep with the curtains open(fear of tales of the unexpected style faces at the window). always find myself subconsciously turning toiletries around on bathroom shelves so the labels are pointing outwards. the minute i'm alone, i start talking to myself. do they count? |

I’ve checked on websites and all of this behaviour doesn’t constitute OCD unless it’s associated with anxiety. Phew! I don’t have any foibles. I do like to eat the stuff on my plate in reverse order to the pleasure it gives me but that’s just the same reasoning as Beanie: it motivates me to eat the broccoli on the plate when I know I’ll enjoy the chicken eventually. And I do eat the crusts on bacon sandwiches first but doesn’t everyone? And I do mutter the words “Captain Beefheart” under my breath when I see a Sting album in the racks but that’s because Sting has an evil eye and until someone cuts out his tongue and breaks his fingers to stop the evil spreading, the most powerful juju is the sound of the good captain’s name and a mental blast of Ella Guru. Actually, thinking about it, there may be other idiosyncracies but that’s enough to be getting on with. This is turning into therapy – have I fallen asleep and woken up in the Priory? |
