I've heard that story before. Our bassist's friend was at dinner with Sting and the same thing happened... She leaned over and went "you listening to anything good" in an attempt to try and make conversation with him, he took his earphones out and went "of course I am... I'm listening to me". Is it bollocks? Who knows but, heh, never ever let the truth ruin a good story I say. Heard a cracking story about Ian Botham once. My mate's dad was at a dinner and Beefy was the after-dinner speaker... Botham spent the entire meal getting shitted and stood up to do his speech and said something like "I have no interest in talking to any of you posh boring wankers... fuck off". He then left his seat, went into the bar, broke into the cellar and grabbed a keg of beer and bowled out the hotel with the keg on his shoulder... HERO! |
