Head on by Julian Cope's excellent. Very funny, modest and entertaining. Not strictly a bio but a novel called Powder by Kevin Sampson is great. He was the manager of The Farm so his insight into the wheeling and dealing of the music industry helps. This list may help: |

Haven't read it, VV, but the mention of the words 'Saxophone' and 'ska' in the Amazon review put the fear of god in me. I'm aware this might be a controversial stance with some of the 2 Tone-loving board members. |

Powder was a top book Bovey and I always thought a lot more truthful than it made out. There are a band out there called The Grams now (reviewed them live) who I really wanted to be great but they had little to seperate them from the masses. |
