CAMRA is fine. That's an acronym.

This thread wasn't supposed to get this serious to be honest! It was meant as a bit of fun!

The definition of acronym is hazey looking at wikipedia, but it certainly started as being a set of initials that spell out another word.

Can I add that acronyms can also include more than just the first letter of each word to make it work. Like SONAR for example.

There was one of my language teachers who used to mispronounce all possible words and make fun of us for correct pronunciation. We all were following her language for 3 long years and ended up mispronouncing various words. Thanks Mam…
