I mentioned this track in the Joe Meek thread, but had to double check he produced it as the band had a few incarnations and worked with different people. Upon further investigation I found out that a later incarnation actually included a young David Bowie which I don't think I knew! Anyway - Meek did do this, and as it didn't make my top 5, here it is.

Possibly one to divide opinion... I could have put this in the future classics thread. It polled very highly when we did our end of year vote on my radio show too - and was also the most infamous radio interview I ever did, even making the national press. Fucking bautiful though. LOVE overlaid vocals in the chorus.

I'd have loved to have been there. That was them in their full-on pomp with a gospel choir and half a bloody orchestra on stage. I've never heard a live album that's been made in the way they made that one before. Half the songs are totally reinvented from how they appear on the album and are actually superior versions in many cases. This being one of them, along with Walking With Jesus which is where The Sound Of Confusion gets its name from...
