I know there are a few fans on here and I have just come across this today. The fourth best band in Hull have a compilation of their BBC recordings released on 18/09/2006 and it's compiled by Stan Cullimore. Track listing is:

Anxious was my fave too. Remember seeing it on the Tube as a video - they performed it in the bath at Newcastle's St James Park for some reason - and falling in love with the band instantly Great news about the comp though.

Yeah. A few tragic omissions but it still looks awesome.

I think I have all of The Housemartins radio session including the one they did as The Fish City Five. I've also got a CD of their unreleased demos most of which sound like they are just Paul & Stan.

I used to love the band but only got to see them once back in 1987 at Hartlepool Town Hall. I've still got a bootleg of the gig and I think it was the last time Hugh played with the band. He had left the year before but turned up at the gig and was dragged up on stage near the end to sing 'Drop Down Dead'.
