David Soul - demanding to speak to the manager about the legality of our Starsky and Hutch postcards he said to me "Do you know who I am?". I pointed to his picture and said "Him?' -,He appeared the next day, grabbed some pictures and ran out of the shop, cackling in a high pitched voice as he fled.
Lulu - she would have walked past the shop if I hadn't shouted (by mistake - it was a knee jerk reaction) "Fucking hell, it's Lulu!". Wasn't that the name of her show? Two seconds after she walked out a version of 'Shout" came on the shop stereo. Close one. I can imagine the scene... "Hey boys, this is how it's done!". 'No Lulu, get off of the counter! This is a place of business. There's no time for a Cliff at Wimbledon style rendition of your biggest hit."
