I think the "Sheila's Wheels" ads are very clever: selling the idea that you're not dealing with some dull, heartless insurance company, but a bunch of kitsch (and probably gay) Aussies. To see how clever they are, compare them to the Barclay's ads which try to suggest their staff are "wacky" but actually suggest they're a bunch of incompetent pricks.
However, most of all I miss the days when 90% of ads weren't about getting in to or out of debt, or guilt-tripping grannies to take out a "whole of life" policy to ensure their kids don't have to pay for the funeral when they snuff it.Statistics: Posted by Captain Howdy — Sat Nov 04, 2006 6:03 pm
